For Luke Oxarart, the hitting isn’t over

The Panther football season ended with Saturday’s 35-14 playoff loss to Florence-Carlton. But Luke Oxarart is looking forward to four more years on the gridiron.

Oxarart has committed to play defensive back next year at Montana State University, the school he grew up rooting for. “I’m stoked,” he says. “It’s going to be super fun to play for MSU. I’m just blessed to have this opportunity.”

Oxarart has had a stand-out senior season. Before the Florence-Carlton game, he led the state with 1,599 yards rushing, averaging 8.2 yards per carry. He had racked up 2,087 all-purpose yards with 22 touchdowns — second in the state — and added another two in his final game.
