Jefferson High’s volleyball team added two conference wins to its record over the weekend, beating Ennis at home, then taking Lone Peak in straight sets on the road.

The Lady Panthers bested Ennis in a Homecoming match-up Sept. 15 by 25-18, 25-18, 21-25, 25-11. MacKenzie Layng led the way with 2 Kills, 13 assists, and 13 digs, while Arena Faler had 5 kills and 1 block, Cameron Toney 1 ace, 8 kills, 1 block, and 13 digs, Haleigh Henschel 1 ace and 1 assist, Maddy Averill 13 digs, Ryian Eveland 6 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 dig, Maria Mest 3 digs, Clara Genger 2 kills, 3 blocks, and 2 digs, Avery Popp 1 ace and 9 digs, and Maia Walters 1 dig.

The next day, Jefferson was on the bus to Lone Peak, right on the edge of Yellowstone Park in Big Sky. It’s a beautiful fall drive that shows the changing of the leaves while the grass is still green in most places. It’s a treat to travel to this new conference rival.

After enjoying the foliage, the Panthers took down the Bighorns, 25-8, 25-19, 25-14. Layng had 22 assists, 1 kill, and 5 digs, Faler 18 kills and 2 blocks, Toney 1 ace, 5 kills, and 1 assist, Henschel 2 kills, 3 assists, and 11 digs, Averill 1 ace, 1 kill, and 16 digs, Ryian Eveland 2 kills, 4 blocks, and 2 digs, Mest 1 ace, and 3 digs, Genger 3 kills, Popp 5 digs, Walters 2 digs, and Brooklyn Miller 1 kill.

This week Jefferson travels to Columbus on Wednesday and to Three Forks on Friday before hosting Manhattan on Saturday.
