Folks fire up with chili in support of Jeff City VFD

Over 100 people from Helena, Boulder, Clancy and Jefferson City joined visitors from outside of the area for the Sixth Annual Jefferson City Chili Supper Saturday evening. Chili from mild, to wild, to vegetarian, to knock-your-socks-off spicy was offered up free with donations accepted to support the Jefferson City Volunteer Fire Department. Also on the menu were chili dogs, cornbread and a wide array of desserts. Fire chief Bud Siderits said the diners were very generous in their support, and the evening was great fun. Many of the cooks and servers were fire fighters or their spouses, he said.
