Montana City resident Keith Foley was elected president of the Jefferson Local Development Corporation (JLDC) at its Oct. 18 meeting, succeeding Nick Hensleigh of Whitehall.
Foley was raised in Montana, with deep family roots in Clancy. He served in the U.S. Army and worked 20 years working in the federal contracting realm in Colorado and Virginia. But “this area has always been a massive part of who I am,” he said. “Since the moment I left, I’ve been trying to find a way back.”
In 2019, Foley and his four children settled in Montana City, and he bought ranch property in Clancy. He works remotely for Collossal LLC, which provides technology support for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Foley joined the JLDC board in 2022. He said he wondered, “How do I apply the things I’ve learned in my life to making Jefferson County better? There’s so much trouble in this world, I feel the answers are local. We need to build strong communities.”
