Florence Eunice Corwin

Florence Eunice Corwin passed away early on the morning of February 26, 2018, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.

She fought a hard battle with cancer for the last three years, never losing faith that she would win. Less than 24 hours before she passed she was still phoning people and saying, “I am doing OK, this is just another bump in the road. I am going to be back at work next week.”

She was born in Anchorage, AK, to Nancy (Hutcheson) Corwin and Douglas Corwin on September 15, 1960. She graduated from Capital High School in Helena in 1978. She married and later divorced Karl Gies. They had one son, Victor, who survives her.
