The 2025 Jefferson County Fair is dedicated to the memory of two loyal supporters, Les Vossler and Robert “Toes” Tomich. The long-time Boulder residents spent countless hours working to make the Fairgrounds a better place for county residents.

Les Vossler was an original member of the Jefferson County Recreation Park planning board, created in 1981 to oversee park development when the grounds were leased from the state Department of Institutions. Les was involved with many upgrade projects throughout the years, including the relocation, refurbishing and housing of the Boulder River Carousel, while serving as a member of the Boulder Volunteer Fire Department.

Thanks to Vossler’s many contributions, generations of fairgoers continue to enjoy the unique and ever evolving Recreation Park along with joyful spins on its treasured merry-go-round!
