Experts: Video tampering in Basin unlikely

The Basin School video “mystery” appears to be nothing of the sort.

The Monitor last week reported two Basin residents’ view that an apparent 20-second freeze in the online video of the school’s Aug. 13 board meeting hinted at possible tampering to hide a school official’s alleged acknowledgement of a violation of state law.

But after reviewing the video at The Monitor’s request, four video analysts largely agreed that a technical glitch seemed much more plausible than human manipulation.
