Event would cheer Boulder’s efforts, envision its future

The City of Boulder may hold a public event this summer to celebrate and give context to the accomplishments of recent years and to solicit residents’ visions for the city’s future.

At its May 20 meeting, the City Council unanimously approved councilor Drew Dawson’s motion that it endorse the concept of the event.

“There have been a lot of wonderful things going on over the last couple of years,” Dawson said in introducing his motion, referring to efforts including completing the Downtown Master Plan and allocating the $500,000 Boulder Development Fund following the Montana Developmental Center’s closure.
