Elkhorn Working Group seeks members

The Elkhorn Working Group, formed in 2001 and one of the state’s oldest agency-sanctioned citizen advisory bodies, is seeking new members.

The group is responsible for gathering input from people who live and work in and around the Elkhorn Wildlife Management Unit and making recommendations to the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and other public agencies as they develop policies.

Joe Cohenour, chair of the group, said in a news release that “prospective members should have an interest and familiarity in the Elkhorn Wildlife Management Unit, resource policy, and be willing to work positively and constructively with a wide range of people from various interests.”
