Doug “Oak” Oakley, 56, of Boulder, passed away on May 2, 2023. Doug was born on February 13, 1967, in Flint, Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Deborah, his son, Douglas II, his father, Charles Oakley, his mother, Barbara Good and his sisters, Wendy, Laurie and Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Suzanne and Heather.

Doug was an outdoorsman and a proud Marine Corps veteran, having served for 27 years. He was a graduate of Flushing High School in Flushing, Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, writing poetry, and playing the guitar.

A celebration of life will be held on June 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Life Church in Boulder.  A military service will also be held in Michigan at a later date. Contributions in Doug’s memory can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, the Humane Society and the Helena, Montana, police canine unit.
