Doing AOK: Montana City students learn to help others

Everything was AOK at the Jeffco Food Share recently when a truckload of food from Montana City rolled up.

AOK stands for Acts of Kindness and is the focus of several classes at the Montana City School. The AOK class of teacher Colin Blaskovich organized and managed a food drive that netted about 1200 pounds of food and around $800 delivered to the county’s food pantry.

“The workers at the food bank were so kind, grateful and helpful,” said Montana City teacher Kari Holman. “They make hauling food a most enjoyable experience.”
