Does Boulder want Cowboy Hall of Fame?

Efforts by the Jefferson County Commission to attract the Mon- tana Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center to Boulder were a topic of the September 26 commission meeting.

Commissioner Leonard Wort- man, who has been leading the effort, said the Cowboy Hall of Fame Board is not ready to make any decisions until after the first of the year.

The facility was slated for Big Timber but those plans fell through earlier this year. A 24-acre location would have eventually housed a heritage center, exhibition hall, event center, a display about the Hall of Fame inductees, an outdoor arena and more, according to organizers.
