DJ Johnston passed away March 4, 2023 at her home in Boulder surrounded by her loved ones.
DJ was born on Aug. 11, 1960 in Huron, South Dakota to AM Johnston and Patricia Carpenter. She worked for and retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service. She married the love of her life, Katherine Mahoney, in Spokane, WA, in May of 2014.
DJ is survived by her wife, sister Glenda (Dale) Ellerton of McCook, NE; a niece and a nephew, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Viola Johnston and AM Johnston and brother, Michael Johnston.
Gravesides services for DJ were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at the Boulder Cemetery. A reception followed the burial at the Windsor Bar in Boulder. Please visit www.retzfuneralhome.com to offer a condolence to the family or to share a memory of DJ.
