District court proceedings held in Boulder

The following cases were heard March 8 in district court in Boulder. 

Aaron Ellsworth, Boulder, entered pleas of not guilty to felony drunk driving and having an open container in a vehicle. Bond was set at $10,000 and he was ordered not to leave the state, to abstain from alcohol and dangerous drugs, not to drive and to submit to 24/7 alcohol monitoring. 

William Halvorsen, Whitehall, pleaded not guilty of felony partner/family member assault. Bond was set at $15,000 and he was ordered not to leave the state, not to talk with the victim about the case, not to possess alcohol or dangerous drugs, not to be in bars, and not to possess firearms or dangerous weapons. 

Brandon Beckman accepted a plea deal that dropped three counts of child endangerment in exchange for guilty pleas to misdemeanor DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, and failing to carry proof of insurance. He admitted allegations of driving 90 miles per hour and weaving near Montana City while three children were in the car. Beckman was sentenced to concurrent jail terms with all the time suspended except four days already spent in jail. He was also fined a total of $1050.
