Deputy D.A.R.E

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy David Kosola leads Clancy School fifth graders in their first D.A.R.E class of the year Friday, Oct. 25. D.A.R.E, or Drug Abuse Resistance Education, “envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance use, and other dangerous behaviors,” according to the organization’s website. Kosola said he teaches the class in a growing number of schools countywide.
