Daines: Immigration ban needed to protect nation from ‘radical Islamic extremism’ SENATOR SETS TELEPHONE TOWN HALL FOR WEDNESDAY

Montana’s Republican U.S. Senator Steve Daines reacted to the new presidential executive order on immigration Monday, saying, “The safety and security of Americans must and should be our number one priority. Until we can secure our borders, we need to take the necessary precautions, including slowing down the refugee program. We are at war with radical Islamic extremism and we must protect our citizens from terrorists.” As of press time, no reaction had been released by Montana’s other senator, Democrat Jon Tester. Daines announced Monday he will hold a telephone conference town hall on Wednesday, March 8, at 6:15 p.m. and answer questions asked from across Montana on a variety of issues. To participate in the call, text “SenatorDaines” (one word) to 828282 or call any of the senator’s offices. Contact information for the offices can be found on- line at daines.senate.gov.
