Cross country runs in Butte

The Jefferson High cross country teams fared well in Butte Satur- day, turning in some good times and measuring up well against Class B schools in the JV event. The girls took top honors for the Class B competitors in the JV race, led by Grace Alexander who completed the course in 23:34, good for 48th overall in the big field.

 Laurynn Armstrong crossed the line next for the Panthers, taking 92nd in 24:55. Oth- er JHS runners in the girls’ JV race: Emme Rosenbaum (150th in 26:46), Abbie Suppala (158th in 27:02) and Renee Yu (190th in 28:57).

 Led by Hunter Henschel, who took 78th overall in a time of 19:11, the Panther boys finished 14th overall and second among Class B schools in the JV race. Andy Johnson, Gabe Gilmore, Noah Anspach and Drew McManus all finished in 22 minutes or less, good for the top 200. Other JHS finishers: Christian Davis (22:48), Will Robson (23:06), Brandon Gallagher (23:49) and Dominik Davis (24:44).
