On Monday, Sept. 19, the Oro Fino Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, with support from Montana State DAR and Sons of the American Revolution, sponsored a Program Commemorating the 236th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of the United States. Jane Lee Hamman, Constitution Week Chair, emceed the program. Montana Governor Greg Gianforte spoke about the Constitution and presented a Constitution Week Proclamation for the state of Montana. Other guest speakers included Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen, who spoke about citizenship and voting.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Elsie Arntzen spoke about school civics. The National Anthem was sung by Clancy seventh grade student Kaylee Rose Lian, and the Helena Xpress Singers – with director Barb Leland – sang several patriotic songs.
