Following a proclamation by the Boulder City Council, the city will recognize Aug. 27 as the first-ever Cornelius “Connie” Smith Day.

The celebration coincides with the fourth and final day of Jefferson County’s 2023 A Fair of the Heart. While at the fair, residents and visitors alike can stroll through a collection of Smith’s works in the Boiler building at the fairgrounds, and purchase keepsake postcards.
