With grant funding secured from the State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act (SLIPA), the city of Boulder has begun work to restore the Boulder Community Pool Mon. May 6.
The contract was awarded to Red Dog Painting, who submitted a bid of $32,933 to repair the pool basin. Of the $110,000 received from the SLIPA grant, $20,000 was allocated towards the pool project. $35,000 was also budgeted from mills allocated in FY23-24
Red Dog Painting has sub-contracted Blast Pros Mobile Blasting to begin initial sand-blasting and remove damaged plaster and paint. City officials were uncertain whether or not the pool would be open for the summer season.
