“It’s amazing.”
That’s how several people, including Drew Dawson, Leonard Wortman and Tom Harrington, characterized the progress Boulder has made over the last few years of community development activities during two well-attended and mostly upbeat monthly community meetings last week. Dawson said of the community development plans, “We started off with a lot of grassroots activities. We are seeing the fruits of those labors starting to pay off. This is the result of many people coming together and doing many things over the years. It bodes well for a bright future for Boulder.”
Boulder Development Fund Board (BDFB) met on October 3. Boulder Transition Advisory Council (BTAC) met on October 4. The meetings featured progress reports on community goals identified in the planning process. Jessica Holdren of Land Solutions, the firm hired to shepherd Boulder’s applications for $500,000 allocated by the legislature to help with job loss caused by the closing of Montana Developmental Center, reported to BDFB on applications approved, submitted and in-process.
