Common-sense solutions to make Montana more affordable

The month of January flew by, and the Montana House of Representatives has been working tirelessly to tackle the challenges facing our state. When you elected me, I promised to support good, principled legislation that helps you, and I hope I am delivering.

Finding solutions to skyrocketing property taxes is one of my top priorities this session. Fortunately, there are several proposals the legislature will consider that would provide permanent property tax relief to Montana families and small businesses.

One proposal would tax out-of-state vacation homeowners and use those funds to provide permanent, immediate relief for full-time Montana residents. This is one long-term solution to combat rising property taxes.
