Clancy zeroes in on water source

With the discovery of a promising test well, Clancy is again on the verge of major progress in its decade-long quest to find a reliable source of water.

At its Aug. 27 meeting, the Clancy Water & Sewer District approved the testing of two recently assessed wells, one on district resident Steve Marks’ property near Prickly Pear Creek and another on Keith Foley’s property abutting state-owned land south of the district.

Lindsay Drilling won the project bid and tested the Foley site last week. “The well only produced 6 gallons per minute, which was not adequate,” owner Ryan Lindsay told The Monitor.
