“YEEEEAH, LET’S GOOO!”

Junior high math teacher Anthony Connole’s guttural roar echoed through the Clancy Elementary gym Wednesday afternoon. After last year’s upset by the students, the teachers were determined to take back their crown. 

With the final period of school cancelled for the occasion, students of all grades packed the gym. Seven teachers and a paraprofessional faced off against the 8th grade girls volleyball team. Rather than the traditional best of five sets, they played best of three – the first two to 25 points, the third to 15 – to fit within the period. The crowd erupted in cheers at every decisive play.
