Clancy delivers big send off

There was plenty of cheering in Clancy Monday as the 27 members of the school’s Science Olympiad team departed to represent Montana at the national competition. Younger students lined the sidewalk between the school’s front door and the bus as the science whizzes headed for Dayton, Ohio. The Clancy students earned the right to compete at the National Science Olympiad late last year by winning the Montana title over several schools with much higher enrollments. What they did not win, however, was the funding for the Ohio trip. That they had to raise, so they worked hard in the intervening months. With a lot of support from the community, the team members raised over $35,000 in about six months.
