City releases bullet points in dispute

Following the filing of a $1.043 million claim for lost wages by former Boulder Chief of Police Juan Trujillo, the Boulder Monitor submitted a written request for the release of bullet points referred to by Trujillo’s letter. The letter was read aloud at the June 18 city council meeting but the bullet points were not, and the city mayor and city clerk told the Monitor the bullet points had not been provided to the city office.

In response to the written request from the Monitor for the release of those bullet points, they were provided. They are now an official public document which should be available to any member of the public upon request at the city office.

The bullet points list 18 dates and descriptions of events Trujillo said happened while he was the chief. He said those events support his claim that Mayor Rusty Giulio created a “hostile work environment.”
