City picks new attorney

In an unanimous vote at a special meeting Friday, the Boulder City Council selected Jana McGill as the new city attorney.

The vote came after three public interviews of the finalists: McGill, Julia Swingley of Helena and David Vicevich of Butte.

In reaching the decision, the council noted McGill’s experience in local government representation, her glowing recommendations, and her easy-going manner and dedication to effective communication.
