Child molester sentenced in district court

A Whitehall man convicted for five sexual offenses and tampering with witnesses will not be eligible for parole for at least 20 years, District Judge Luke Berger ordered earlier this month.

Andrew Lewis was found guilty March 8 of molesting a young girl and then trying to influence her to recant her revelations.

Judge Berger sentenced Lewis to a total of 90 years with 50 suspended and restricted his parole eligiblity to at least 20 years, citing concern Lewis is a continuing danger to the victim.
