Boulder’s day care center is open again, now operated by Nature Story Montessori.
Nature Story moved into the center, next to Boulder Elementary School, on Nov. 20, nearly two weeks earlier than expected. It started with 14 pre-school students and five babies — with another two on the way, according to Director Gretchen George.
Nature Story had operated since 2021 in the former fellowship hall of the United Methodist Church, where it served 16 children. The new center, previously run by Discovery KidZone, has been licensed provisonally for up to 36 kids, George said — so Nature Story is accepting children off its wait list. “We’re excited about that,” she said.
