Candidates for school board have until March 29 to file to be on May election ballot

The deadline to file for positions on area school boards is approaching. Anyone wishing to be on the ballot for a school board vacancy must file with the clerk of that district no later than March 29. Write-in candidates have until April 5 to file.

School districts have until April 6 to set the amount, if any, for mill levies to be on the May school election ballot. They are not required to run a mill levy.

JHS has two trustee positions open this May: an at-large position held by Pat Lewis and a Clancy area position currently held by Terry Street. As of Monday noon, neither had indicated whether they intend to file for re-election.
