Bring on State: 12 Panther wrestlers headed to Billings

Jefferson High’s wrestlers are a young crew — long on athleticism and energy, but short on experience. As a result, the 2025-2026 season has had its ups and downs.

But at last weekend’s Western B/C Divisional tournament, where rubber meets road, the Panthers delivered on their promise, with 12 Jefferson wrestlers punching their tickets to the all-class State tournament in Billings starting Thursday.

And as a team, the Panther boys finished 9th out of 22 Class B and C schools. The girls placed 8th, their highest finish since girls’ wrestling was officially sanctioned in Montana in 2020.
