May is filled with community events and meetings, area leaders and organizations reported at the May 3 Boulder Transition Advisory Committee (BTAC) meeting.

JHS Superintendent Tim Norbeck talked about the number of students attending the state music festival, graduation scheduled for May 20, and the installation of solar panels at the high school.

Business owner and Mayor Rusty Giulio reported again on a proposed 24-lot subdivision near the Boulder Cemetery. If approved through the city planning process, plans call for annexing the property into the city. Giulio also talked about a plan to build tiny homes on his property in Comet, the ghost town between Boulder and Basin. He also noted that a motorcycle rally held in the area annually is scheduled for June 29 and 30, and is expected to draw between 250-400 bikers.
