A 20-year-old Boulder man was killed and a passenger seriously injured in a vehicle rollover incident May 14.
Montana Highway Patrol reports that the driver was heading northbound in a Honda Civic on Hwy. 282 in Jefferson City early Tuesday morning when he apparently became distracted and failed to navigate a curve in the road. The vehicle left the road and went into a culvert, overturning several times, ejecting the driver who was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle ended on top of the driver, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries to her face, and was taken to St. Peter’s Hospital in Helena.
MHP reports that alcohol and speed were likely involved in the crash. No further details were available.
