Boulder library gets Friends of Library makeover

The first phase of Boulder Community Library’s landscaping makeover is complete, with much more to come in the weeks and months ahead.

The volunteer-led Friends of the Boulder Library marshalled labor and donations last month to install rock benches, a garden in front and to the side of the building, and bushes and grass that jut out into the parking lot.

It got help from local businesses and organizations: Construction company R.S. Giulio donated rocks for the benches, L&P Grocery donated the stone pathway, and Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch and 4H volunteers helped plant the new garden. LandEscapes, Evergreen Sprinklers, Happy Earth Compost, Bill Wood’s Excavation, and Boulder Ace Hardware all chipped in as well, providing labor and materials.
