Boulder Food Bank to close by Dec. 31

On Thursday, May 25, the JeffCo Food Share board held a public meeting, where members discussed the future of the local food bank in Boulder. Currently the food bank opens its doors every second Thursday of the month from noon to 2 p.m. to provide emergency food relief to all residents of Jefferson County.

According to JeffCo Food Share President Cathy DuBois, the committee plans to end services, effective Dec. 31, 2023. 

There are many reasons for this, DuBois said, largely that volunteers are hard to come by.
