The nonprofit, volunteer-run Boulder Fitness Club recently bought three pieces of equipment to bolster its inventory of cardio and hydraulic exercise machines.
Volunteer Marilyn Craft reported that two of the items — a rowing machine and a recumbent stepper — add new exercise opportunities for members.
The stepper “is especially beneficial for people recovering from hip or knee surgery,” she said, while the rowing machine “is a great alternative for those who are unable to perform weight-bearing exercises, such as running, hiking, or walking, as it puts minimal stress on the joints.”
“It is also great for injury prevention and to strengthen and condition the knees after surgery,” she continued.
Craft said to call 406-225-3976 or 406-225-3288 to schedule a visit to learn more about the club and to try it out.
The Boulder Fitness Club is at 104 South Main St. and is open around the clock. It opened in 2005.
