Boulder celebrates Christmas in style

As if on cue, snow began falling just as the Boulder Outlaws 4-H Club started selling Christmas trees outside the Elkhorn Bistro Friday evening. The flurries continued through the night, turning Main Street into a holiday postcard for Boulder’s third annual Christmas parade.

“This is perfect with the snow,” said Tammy Burk, a Boulder resident who has attended all three Christmas parades. “It made it really picturesque.”

The parade, which started at 6 p.m., brought a procession of light-draped vehicles, holiday inflatables and Christmas spirit down Main Street. Crowds lined the street as the parade made its way south from Veterans’ Park, then turned around near the post office to head back north.
