Boulder boosts budget with gaming tax revenue

The Boulder City Council on Feb. 19 unanimously approved adding $24,475 – five years’ worth of gaming permit license fees – to the city’s fiscal year 2019 budget to pay for several items not previously accounted for.

The biggest dollar amount — $10,000 – will help pay for a $16,300 boiler for the city’s swimming pool. Mayor Rusty Giulio said the existing budget will cover the balance.

The next biggest dollar amount — $8,200 – will cover “future electronic mapping costs” for the Boulder Cemetery.
