Republican incumbent Marta Bertoglio has won reelection for a third term in the Montana State Legislature in House District 75, and Republican Becky Beard has captured the redistricted Senate District 38.
Ultimately, neither race was very close. With nearly all votes counted, according to the Associated Press, Bertoglio, a Montana City resident and realtor, won 71% of votes cast. Her Democratic challenger, Nancy Jane Lien of Whitehall, took 28.9%.
In the State Senate contest, Beard, an environmental consultant in Elliston, won 72.5% of the vote. Democrat Jeffrey Benson, a Boulder-based business consultant, took 27.5%.
