Practices started last week for Jefferson High’s basketball and wrestling squads, with good turn-outs in both sports. It is great to see students involved in sports and representing the school in a positive manner.
Competition starts soon after Thanksgiving: Wrestling begins its season at a large meet in Cascade Dec. 1-2. The Panthers host a mixer at Jefferson High on Dec.7, then travel to Whitehall that weekend, Dec. 8-9. They will be in Great Falls Dec. 15-16 for the CMR tournament.
The basketball varsity and JV teams travel to Red Lodge Dec. 8-9 for a four-team tournament that is always very competitive. The teams then host Three Forks on Dec. 14 and will be at Manhattan on Dec. 15.
