Alzheimer’s/dementia speaker series opens at Boulder Library

“Community Conversations about Alzheimer’s and Dementia,” a monthly series, began at the Boulder Community Library February 22 with Saundra Lowry of Boulder speaking. From her 17 years of experience with Area IV Agency on Aging, she shared information on connecting seniors and persons with disabilities to information and services. (The Aging Services Helpline is 1-800-551-3191.)

Lowry spoke about the numbers of people affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, and the associated costs. The sobering statistics emphasize the need to recognize the assets communities bring.
