RELATED

Summer Reading is happening at the Boulder Community Library, starting on June 12. This summer’s programming is centered around the theme “All Together Now.” The program is designed for local youth ages 2-13 of all abilities and is free for all.

We welcome returning participants and encourage those new to the area to get involved. Summer Reading is a six-week program for the kids and offers activities, programs, reading challenges and more. It is exciting to offer Summer Reading in person with programs offered in the library and at the school in partnership with the 21st Century Learning Program.

Participants can earn badges for completing missions on READsquared –  a program offered via the library website that tracks reading time. Individual reading time can also be tracked on slips provided by each respective participating library. These slips need to be signed by a parent, teacher or guardian to be eligible for the drawing. Grand prizes for those who read the most are graciously provided by the Boulder Friends of the Library.

Fun Fact from READsquared: If you read just one book a day, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years, and 1,095 books in just three years!

Summer Reading programming combined with Boulder Elementary’s 21st Century Program is held on Mondays at 8:30 a.m. at Boulder Elementary School. The Summer Reading programming for kids not participating in Boulder Elementary’s 21st Century program is held on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. at the library.

“All Together Now” runs from June 12 – July 24.  Program schedules are available at the library front desk and on the Boulder Community Library’s social media. Visit the Boulder Community Library at 202 South Main Street in Boulder or call 225-3241 for more information. Come join the fun!
