Montana Artists Refuge returns to life

Basin resident Bryher Herak, who recently purchased The Leaning Tower of Pizza and the former Colombe cabin, now called the Emmabell, shows off a layout of how the restaurant will be set up once renovations are complete. Part of the renovations include putting in steel beams tied to the roof to reinforce the structure, which actually does lean. “I think we’re going to save it,” said Herak. The two buildings are to be added to the Montana Artists Refuge, which is in the process of being revitalized. (Diana McFarland/Boulder Monitor).

And several doors down on Basin Street, the newly christened “Emmabell,”  formerly known as the Colombe cabin, is a bit crooked too.
