JANUARY: COVID-19 vaccines arrived: Sam Samson of Boulder received his first dose from nurse Kim Franchi at the Jefferson County Public Health Department.

RELATED

Sam Samson of Boulder received his first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Jan. 13 at the Jefferson County Public Health Department. It was administered by nurse Kim Franchi. The department began implementing Phase IB last week, and the county is scheduling appointments for those age 70 and older. Due to the limited supply, the department will work to include those with high-risk conditions once more vaccine becomes available.  The vaccine requires two doses.

To be placed on the Jefferson County waiting list, call the county’s COVID-19 line at 406-225-4004 and leave a message containing your name, age and phone number. Messages are retrieved daily. Callers will be contacted to schedule an appointment when vaccine is available.

Currently, clinics are being held at the Public Health Department in Boulder. Due to uncertainty around vaccine quantity, the department has not yet set dates for off-site clinics. Vaccines are offered at no cost to residents. St. Peter’s Health is offering COVID-19 vaccines to patients who are actively receiving primary care services at St. Peter’s and who meet eligibility requirements.
