Several Jefferson High School speech and debate students have qualified for the state tournament, which begins tonight and runs through Saturday, Jan. 30. Qualifying is Katie Conroy and Quinne Shutlz, who placed third in Divisionals in Public Forum; Kennedy Williams and Zach Anderson, who defeated Three Forks for first place in Divisionals in Public Policy; Mason Lucus, who place sixth in Divisionals in Original Oratory and Madi Hassler and Aidyn Springfield, who placed fourth in divisional in Drama.
The state tournament will be held virtually and is hosted by Huntley Project. The team is coached by Anne Joliff.
