Boys’ basketball: Out with the old, in with the new Panther squad

The beginning of basketball season is always a process, and this is especially the case for Panther basketball coach Anthony Connole, who graduated eight seniors, after taking second in the district – then losing in two at divisionals – during the 2022-23 season.

Down by practically a full squad, Connole is encouraged to see the team approaching the new season unified and energized.

“I like what I’m seeing from a chemistry standpoint,” Connole said. “There’s a lot of leadership on the floor. I have four seniors, and they do a really good job of being leaders in drills. They make sure the young guys are doing what they need to be doing.”
