December is upon us and the holiday season is here. The Boulder Community Library has a seasoned calendar for the upcoming month. We cordially invite one and all to attend library events and take advantage of all the services available.
Origami Ornaments class is Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. A sample of origami ornaments to craft is on display. Drop by and see what you can create at this unique and fun class, instructed by the remarkable Keiko. Drop in for this special opportunity to create something this holiday season.
Get crafty on Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Library’s Mason Jar Tissue Canister Craft class. The class starts at 6:30 p.m. Jackie and Jeannie Thiel along with Denise Grove are teaching this class. Join the fun!
Santa Claus is coming to the library for storytime at 11:00 a.m. and will also visit the Boulder Elementary students. We will be extra nice on Tuesday, Dec. 13 to make the best impression for Santa.
Weekly storytime is on schedule every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Youth programs are held weekly on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m; Lego Club is Dec. 6, Tinkerlab is Dec. 13 and Kid Crafters is Dec. 20, all on schedule for our busy month.
The weekly adult Tai Chi classes are Monday and Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., and the Tai Chi classes for Arthritis are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:00 p.m. These classes are free and open to the public.
The Jefferson County Library Board of Directors will meet at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Dec. 15. This month’s meeting will be held via Zoom and interested folks can attend at either the Whitehall Community Library or Boulder Community Library. Meetings are open to the public.
To start off the New Year, the library will host an Author Presentation in late January. Be watching for more details to learn what author is coming to your public library and when the big night will be. We are so excited about this event and know you will be, too!

The library will be closed Sunday, Dec. 25 – Monday, Dec. 26 and Sunday, Jan. 1 – Monday Jan. 2 to celebrate the holiday. Regular hours resume Tuesday, Jan. 3 from 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
