The Boulder Community Library is one of the four fabulous community libraries in Jefferson County.  It offers books, audiobooks, DVDs, internet access, online reference catalogs, in-house programming and much more.

Everyone is welcome at the library.  We are proud to offer a warm and safe space for storytime, a space for students to learn and discover and a space for patrons of all ages to try a new skill or get active in new ways.  As always, it’s free to use the library services and get a library card.

Things are always happening at the library! Not only do we offer amazing library materials and services such as WiFi hotspots for patron checkout, the Montana Shared Catalog app, free research databases, but we also offer amazing programs for the public and patrons of all ages, including youth storytimes, lego club, STEM, craft and painting classes, and Tai Chi exercise class.

The monthly Book Club is open to anyone who would like to participate.  Each month a new title is selected and the group meets to discuss.  This month Book Club is reading “The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry” by Gabrielle Zevin. A popular book club read, Zevin’s book is a fictional story featuring bookstore owner A.J.  The story embraces the realities of life with a touch of romance. Copies of the book are available at the library for checkout. Join Director Jodi Smiley for the discussion on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.

Did you know the library offers a painting class? Get ready for the holidays at the library’s painting class with Jessica (for adults). Jessica’s next class is Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. and participants can choose to paint a snowman, turkey or sled. Registration is requested and a nominal fee is charged to cover supply.  Please call the library to sign up, as space is limited.

The Vaccine Clinic is back!  The Jefferson County Health Department is offering a Flu Shot Clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the library.  Call the Health Department at (406) 225-4007 for more information or to schedule an appointment.  Appointments are recommended and walk-ins are welcome.

The Library Board will meet on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m.  Public is welcome to attend.  This month’s meeting will be held at the Boulder Community Library.

Our weekly programs are on schedule this month.  Storytimes for the kids are held each Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the youth area.  Monthly youth programs are held Tuesday afternoons at 4 p.m.:  Tinkerlab on Nov. 15, Lego Club on Nov. 22 and STEM – Kid Crafters on Nov. 29.

Our library also offers unique adult programming.  Tai Chi is a form of exercise that blends meditation into the practice.  Adults are welcome to attend Tai Chi every Monday and Wednesday at 9 a.m.  Tai Chi for arthritis is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 p.m. These classes are free and registration is not required. Drop in a class and give it a try.

See you at the Library!
