Lady panthers crush the cougars

Lady Panthers volleyball hosted the Columbus Cougars on Thursday, Sept. 22 for their 2022 season homecoming match.

The C-team set the pace for the evening early on with a first set win of 25-21, but the Cougars bounced back taking the second set from the Panthers 24-26.

The match continued to go back and forth with the Panthers taking the third set 15-3 and the Cougars claiming the fourth set 5-15.

In the fifth set tie-breaker, the Lady Panthers’ C-team came out on top: 15-12.

The Lady Panthers’ junior varsity team kept up the pace, sweeping the Cougars in three sets: 25-18, 25-19 and 15-10.

In the varsity showdown, the Lady Panthers faltered in the first set, dropping it 25-19. After getting back in their groove, the Lady Panthers battled to win the next three sets, claiming the match: 25-19, 25-17 and 25-18.

All three of the Lady Panthers volleyball teams will go on to compete in the Choteau Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 24.
