In Jeff City, food, fundraising, and firefighting fun

Residents of Jefferson City and the surrounding areas gathered for food, fundraising and firefighting fun on Saturday as part of the annual Jefferson City Community Days. 

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., children ran around the Jefferson City fire station, listening to Chief Keith Wear’s instruction on what to do in the event of a fire, learning how to use a fire extinguisher and practicing their aim with a fire hose. 

Jefferson City Community Days is the main fundraiser for the Jefferson City Community Center, originally the town’s school house.
